1Jacqueline Roque picasso146 Gilot finally left Picasso in 1953. Then, he started another relationship with the woman who stood beside him until the end of his days. Jacqueline Roque worked at Madoura ceramics on the French Riviera and that is where she met Picasso, at the place where he created and painted his work in ceramics. She became his mistress and they married in 1961 and continued so until Picasso’s death in 1973.
